About Vidura College

Vidura College – Colombo is a pioneering Private National School guided by the Buddhist Philosophy teaching the National Curriculum in the English medium. The school promotes and upholds National culture, Sinhala traditions and the cherished heritage of Sri Lanka as integrated entities of its operations.

Established on the 27th of January 1999 with only six students, two teachers, one Head Mistress and the Principal on the staff with one care taker, at present  Vidura College has over 2500 students on roll, the academic staff is over 250 assisted by over 100 administrative and support staff.

The School was conceived after an educational and market survey conducted in 1998 and it was decided to locate the school in Sri Jayawardhanapura – Nawala and Thalawathugoda, home to a large population of educationally enlightened parents.

Grades 1 to 4 classes are conducted at Nawala, Rajagiriya. The college campus at Thalawathugoda holds classes from Grades 5 to 13 (A/L). The Campus spreads over 9 acres of land, equipped with a playground, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball and Cricket nets.
